UMWA, International Converter reach tentative collective bargaining agreement

[CALDWELL, OH.] The United Mine Workers of America (UMWA) today announced that the union has reached a tentative agreement with International Converter on a new collective bargaining agreement. The members of UMWA L.U.4826 have been on strike at the company's plant here since May 11 after rejecting an earlier offer from the company.

The tentative agreement is subject to ratification by the members of UMWA L.U. 4826. The membership will hear an explanation of the tentative agreement over the weekend, and then the ratification vote will be held on Monday, June 2. Details of the improvements made in the tentative agreement reached today will not be released to the public until after the ratification vote is held.
